While all of our families are okay, Dawn and Rob lost many of their dogs in a fire that swept through so hot and fast that there wasn't enough time to save all of the animals.
We are now spending the aftermath trying to pull together and salvage what we can.  Dawn and her family lost everything but their home itself.
We cannot properly express our gratitude to the emergency and law enforcement personnel who were on the scene and risked their lives to save life and property in their efforts to contain this fire.
Please say a prayer for the people of our area who have lost their homes and especially for the families who have lost loved ones.  We lost two local firefighters during the height of this tragedy.
And, if you believe in doing so, please say a small prayer to our furry friends who have so recently passed over the rainbow bridge.
Give your loved ones a hug and be ever so thankful.

5-31-08:  It's hard to believe it's been 6 weeks since the fire.  The cleanup continues and the rebuilding is finally getting started. Our area is slowly recovering with people finally being able to look at rebuilding or moving on.  We are very appreciative of all the good wishes and prayers that have come our way.   It has helped immensely and kept many of us keepin' on.  Thanks so much.
