Am I ready for the financial responsibility? Can I afford a good, quality food? Can I afford the vet bills (which there will always be vet bills--even for routine
care) Can I afford the grooming which will be needed for some breeds?
Am I ready to take on the care of a living, breathing being? Am I ready to feed and water a dog? Am I ready to invest the time to socialize a dog and teach it
good manners? Am I ready to make this animal a part of my life for the next decade and more? Am I ready to commit the time needed to give this dog
(walking, vet visits, groomer)? Am I ready for the stages of a dog's life? Puppy, active adult, sedate senior?
